Great subject: Philly Dews! Yes, this '82 Dew is amazing, but the entire post-drums segment is worth a listen - Truckin' into a great OO build up into a "second-verse only" Other One, and then... the Dew...

I've mentioned this before, and no one agrees... (and that's OK ;-)... but the 4/7/85 Philly Dew is perhaps my all time favorite one to have seen live (and I was at MSG 9/18/87, etc. etc. etc.). Jerry's shot voice and nasal tone just add to the feeling, and are complemented by his outstanding solos, with Brent right there dueting with JG in the final solo...)

The March '86 Philly Dew was unbelievable too, but I thought it got a little weird immediately afterward, as the place seemed to almost get angry that there was only one song after D/S. Or maybe just disappointed...?

Anyway, thanks for bringing back some great memories of Philly.

Nothing like a swig from a philadelphia stadium water fountain either. Like drinking from a public pool with a dead raccoon floating around and some paint thinner and sulfur slicks on top. Smoke at your own risk.
